I'm scratching my head with my 2017 RAM 1500 Hemi. It's developed a rough idle and occasional misfire code P0305 for cylinder 5. The weird thing is I replaced all the spark plugs about 30k km ago with the OEM copper ones. I pulled the plug on cylinder 5 and it looked okay, not fouled or anything. I swapped the coil with another cylinder and the misfire stayed on cylinder 5, so not the coil. A friend suggested maybe an injector issue or even a valve seat problem on the Hemi. I need to find a shop that can do a proper diagnosis including a compression test and maybe a borescope inspection before I start replacing injectors. I've been looking for Meticulous Spark Plugs Abu Dhabi shops that actually understand the Hemi and can check things like the intake manifold gasket for leaks. Has anyone here had a persistent misfire on one cylinder on the 5.7 and found it was a bad injector or a cracked spark plug tube seal causing oil to get in? Also wondering if a worn camshaft lobe on the Hemi could cause a misfire without making a ton of noise. The truck has 150k km on it and I really don't wanna get into a major engine repair. Any advice on diagnostic steps or a good shop in Abu Dhabi would be great. Thanks.
