Is it harder to maintain a black Cadillac or am I just being paranoid?
#1
I finally upgraded to a gorgeous black Escalade and honestly I'm absolutely in love with the car, but I'm quickly realizing that keeping a black vehicle looking clean is practically a full time job in this climate. I swear I can wash it in the morning and by the afternoon it's already covered in a fine layer of dust that makes the paint look dull and grey instead of that deep glossy black I fell in love with. I've also started noticing some swirl marks starting to appear, which I know is inevitable with dark paint, but it's still annoying because the car is only a few months old and I'm trying to be so careful with how I wash it. I've been reading up on different protection options and it seems like ceramic coating might be the way to go, especially for darker colours because it adds so much gloss and makes washing easier. The thing is, I'm not sure if I should go for a basic coating or if I should invest in a full paint correction first to get the paint absolutely perfect before applying any protection. I'm looking for a place that offers a Cadillac detailing service in Abu Dhabi because I want someone who understands how to work with the specific paint and clear coat that Cadillac uses and can give me honest advice about what's actually worth doing. If anyone here owns a black Cadillac and has had it detailed, I'd love to hear about your experience and whether you think ceramic coating was worth the investment.
