Description
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence for voice overs.

This course explains how a statutory audit actually works, from the licence that allows someone to sign an opinion to the fee printed in the audited company's own accounts. It is for analysts, finance professionals, early-career auditors, and investors who have seen the word 'audited' but never had the machinery behind it explained. No prior banking or finance knowledge is assumed.

Across twenty lessons you will trace the full chain: who grants the licence, what the opinion asserts clause by clause, who the audit is for and who pays, where the standards come from, how the market is concentrated, and how the fee and its split are disclosed. You will see how materiality is derived, how a team is staffed, what evidence an auditor gathers, and where judgement concentrates. Later lessons walk through the audit report paragraph by paragraph, including key audit matters and going concern, then show how to read regulator inspection findings and firm transparency reports.

The teaching is concrete. Every lesson uses published figures, real annual report notes, and the regulator's own data to show how the system is measured. You will learn to find the audit fee note in any annual report, to read an opinion in order, and to distinguish what the public record shows from what remains invisible.

By the end you will be able to read an audit from outside using three numbers - the fee, the split, and inspection findings - and to explain what an audit does and does not promise. This is an industry course, not investment advice.
